    Default hit curb!

So today I was driving on a snowy road and slid and slammed into a 5 inch curb. The rims look like crap and I was doing about about 15-20 mph. What is possible damage. I creeped home at about 5mph so I don't know how she drives. If a tired shop is open tomorrow im going to get it looked at...

Possibilites - Bent Rim, Bent Control Arm, Snapped Control Arm, Damaged tire (sidewall, or bead), torn CV Boot, damaged strut (bottomed out to full bump stop), etc etc etc.

How did you hit it? Were the wheels straight, turned? How fast were you going?

I was doing about 20mph. I slid sideways into the curb. I think both rims hit the curb at the same time...

When you start sliding in snow let off the brakes. You will be able to steer. But as soon as you lock those wheels your done.

Learn how to drive before you concern yourself about countermeasures or exceed the PSL. Go to a teen defensive driving course that is offered by skip barber or bob boundaurant. It can save your life

Yeah, when something so unexpected happens quickly, it's kind of second nature to hit the brakes. Hitting the brakes will do nothing but bad things in the snow though, as mentioned.
