Default Buying new tires, need advice

It's only been 30K miles on my car and the 19" summer performance potenzas are pretty much eaten alive. I've never done burnouts or anything.. but summer tires suck for longevity.

I was wondering if anyone had a good experience buying online like from tire rack? Do I just ship them to a shop that will change my tires or what?

And is it cheaper to go the online route? I went to a few tire shops here and they all want fuggin 1000-1100 for all four.

I've found that local shops will meet tire racks prices. After you add installations fees and shipping to tire racks prices, it all seems about the same to me.

I have bought most of my tires through Tire Rack. I recently bought a set of Yokohama tires through TR during the summer months. NTW wanted $300 a tire. I bought them from the rack for $600 for all four and $80 to have them mounted. I think the shipping was $80 also. Just my 2 cents!

I think I'll be going to tirerack when i need new tires too. I've got a lot of saving to do before then :/ Tirerack is saying my tires are gonna be $930 for all 4. But thats cuz my specs are 245/40-19 on the front and 265/35-19 for the rears. Wide performance tires arent cheap

X2, i use TireRack for research and go local for them to match the price and install. They usually come close to TireRacks price.

I work right next to a town fair tire.

There are a fair amount of potholes downtown, so I prob wouldnt speed as much in the city, I look like a total drunkard avoiding them already though so it shouldnt be a big problem.
