Oh yeah... once again a solution in search of a problem. What if the laser's lens gets sooted up? Or the laser gets misaligned? Or fails? Instead of a $3 spark plug that anyone handy with a ratchet set can replace, you're having to replace something that probably costs at least 10 times that much plus however much the labor would be.

Car won't start? How do you "check for a spark?" Pull the laser and see if it burns your hand??

No thanks... I think I'll stick with something that's worked fine for 150 years...

    Interesting....

I wonder what, if any, the long term effects would be.....a perfect little hole in the top of one of my pistons??

Yeah... I am not impressed. Spark-plugs are one of the simplest, and easiest fixes on a car... not to mention relatively cheap.

Maybe I could see this for extremely high-performance applications if they do indeed burn the mixture more efficiently (Drag cars, F1, MotoGP etc)...

...but for my Civic, I'll keep the spark-plugs (which I replaced less than 1k miles ago) thanks!

Yes sir! I am fine. The tornado that hit west of me was the same one that hit east of me. My wife and I went out tracking it and progressed further than the NWS is releasing. I did a bit of my own recon and found damage lasting 6.5 miles from the storm. Then it picked up and moved about 5 miles and dropped again. We anticipated going out and watching tornados but found ourselves too far south and could have just stayed around home.

Maybe on an I4. To get to the three aft spark plugs on my V6 requires removing the entire intake system up to the manifold.

And what will it take to replace these "laser plugs"?

The same PITA, but less frequently.
