Wondering if anyone either has or does own one of these. I'm looking probably at the 01 model year, either engine.
What can a person expect for mileage out of the engine and transmission before problems?
I'd appreciate any opinions.

Hmmm well a few years back my brother had the 1992/1996 (7th/8th generation) of the mitsubishi galant, which I believe is the same as the 2001 version, I believe that only changed recently to a PSPlatform in 2003(ish), sooo since i dont believe they changed much from the mid 90's 7th/8th generation to the early 2000's 7th/8th generation I think you will like the car.
He loved it... it was a standard with the white/cream leather in it, never had any real engine/tranny problems, had to replace the timing belts, but the car was like 5 or so years old, so that normal and easy maintence. The car was actually pretty quick for a sedan, but gets mid 20's gas mileage when treated correctly.
I wouldnt hesitate to recommened them to people, some of the most legendary cars ever; came from DSM productions.
i love how they look! the front looks like a shark
i would definitely get the V6 GTZ version and with any car.... maintenance is the key
reliability wise... some people may not like mitsubishis but as long as you take care of it, it should last
you can also look at the accords in the same year.
if i had a galant, i would convert it took look like a VR 4
Re: Mitsubishi Galant
