I am about to get my windows tinted, but I dont know how dark I want to go.
I know that 25% is the darkest legally. 35% to get it inspected.
Do any of you have 35% or darker? Have you had any problems?

i went limo tint in the back and legal limit in the front
My brother just got pulled over by DPS yesterday. Officer checked his tint and said it was 32% and 28% was legal. This was on 276 in Rockwall.
if 28% is legal then 32% should be fine then right?
am i getting this mixed up?
http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/vi/Misc/faq/tint.htm
limit for the front side windows is 25%
back windows no limit
front windshield, there is line where you cant put tint
is there some form of clear tint for the windshield that doesnt allow heat to go through but allows all sunlight?
32% was fine for this officer. My brother could have gotten the 28% wrong or whatever. He was probably saying 28 to make his look closer.Originally Posted by f_399
I didn't even know DPS pulled people over for that stuff. I think he just wanted to check my brother out. He's got rims, system stuff like that. A car you want to pull over.
i hear cops are pretty strict about tint, as well as inspection places
I got a friend who does inspections. He has been written up 2 times in the past 3 years. DPS brings a vehicle in and either watches him inspect it without him knowing or after it was inspected pointed out the things that he missed.Originally Posted by f_399
It couldn't have anything to do with him having a brother named "OUTRUN" could it?Originally Posted by outrun
