Had my car in the garage today getting serviced and my LPP is now dead.
First off the node in the car will not work, although everything else I plug into the ashtray power supply works, it won't. Is there some on/off switch someplace on it?
Second problem, the LPP is dead too. I haven't got the original LPP harness with me, so can't test it, but my guess is that there isn't any power going through the power node, as I'm not getting any colour red or green.
Any ideas....BTW, they did wash the car!
Addendum...Cheetah tested the kit I sent them and sorted the problem.
They even returned a whole new everything except the head.
Nice one guys!
100% CS recommendation from me.

What kind of service did you get done?
A couple things to check, the lighter plug has a small on/off switch make sure that was not tripped.
Check the connection at the battery make sure you have a positive and negative leads connected.

Nice one re the lighter plug, will check in the morning.
The terminals are OK though. Checked all the connections and everything looks OK.
They managed to send it mad the last time it was in, so god knows what they've done this time.
I only put it in because I could smell burning on the discs. If I'd thought about it first, I would have cleaned out the disc vents as they were pretty clogged.
On / off switch is on the power cord. it's a small black slider on the end of the plug that goes into the cigarette lighter socket.
When you say you're not getting red/green lights I presume you are talking about on the AUDIOnode warning device inside the car? That doesn't actually mean that your LPP is not getting power or working properly - it just means that you don't have the AUDIOnode switched on.

And of course removed the LPP
Cheers
Holy smokes I have no idea what you just said, must be a Scottish thing LOL.

I suspect you'll find that the lpp is fine.
Hi Ally, it was the cord switch in the car (I knew there was one, but never thought to look on the cord). They must have knocked it when they were cleaning the car.
However, the LPP is defo dead as a doornail.
I'm sure it's a connection problem as it came on for a couple of mins whilst I was driving (well the audio node picked it up) then it went again.
Just to confirm, in the engine bay, everything is dead, dead, dead.
I'm going to have the lot out in a minute and check all the connections.
Fuses are OK, so it'll be a dodgy wire someplace.
There's not some fancy "hold down" setting on the key fob is there?
Ally...have checked everything, the only thing I can find that might be causing a problem is that the .....
CONTROL BOX IS FULL OF WATER ...unless of course that's how it's meant to be
The little gits must have had a pressure washer on it as it was hidden up near the bulkhead, beside the battery in a totally enclosed space when the bonnet is shut.
I haven't opened the box but when you shake it water comes out. It's even down in inside of the cabling, so that the pins are wet.
Either a mistake with a washer or sabotage!
What do you give the chances of it drying out and still working?

Wow, that box is supposed to be water proof too, I bet water got to the control unit of LPP, I am wondering if dries it might work again?
Sabotage, I wonder if they even know what that box is anyway?

The water got in (well it comes out of) where the cables enter the box.
I err....did mention to them there was a "parking sensor" on the car as they were going to have to take the car onto the road to check things and I didn't want them spooked if it went off.
They also disconnect the battery as a matter of course in the workshop and the the Cheetah stuff is mounted right next to the battery.
The box seems dry now, so I'll give it a try this afternoon.
