Re: LI Interface for sale @speedcheetah?
Hi Nomad,
LI kit has all the same contents as the other Wireless Fitting Kits.
You can cenrtainly use the stealth node and power node in the way you describe. In fact you can use the existing ones you have from your other kit. I'm not sure I follow your logic though. What's the benefit of running a cable into the car with an external speaker? If you're running a cable anyway, why not just put the LI speaker inside the car with a normal instal?

Hi Ally, yeah I was going to do a normal install, but the only places you can connect to (according to Merc) is the battery or the cigarette lighter. Rstasman managed it, but I think he went for the battery and I have to make this girl proof. It was bad enough explaning the wireless LPP to her. Anyway, I don't want to connect to the battery and the cigarette lighter assembly is a 'mare to get apart. It's also an LI quad, so more of the car has to come apart. Then I wanted the switch on the steering column as I've got the keyfob stuck on there just now next to the flappy paddles. This is really handy and unviewable in those awkward "moments," however the word airbag cropped up.
So a wireless LI install would be great and I just run the rear cables underneath the car (It's sealed with panels under there) and up under the bootlit.
The alertnode is too quiet for loud music, so I was just going to run the external speaker cable between the top of the wing and A pillar which I do for the radar and laser detectors. Job done and a quick release option for CPU upgrades and any uniformed visits.
So basically all I need is an LI interface cable and an IP68 box and I'm all set then?
I wouldv'e stuck with the wirelessLPP but the heads are too deep for a rear install.
Thanks for the response.

Re: LI Interface for sale @speedcheetah?
You don't need the LI interface cable - there's no point in hooking up a wireless transmitter to the LI because you're not using the wireless transmissions.
Use your existing Power node connected to the battery terminals, plug it into your Stealthnode switch and splice the output from the Stealthnode into the power supply cable of your LI control box. That's all you need to do really. Then you can also keep your existing Keybob kill switch. You don't even need any extra bits do do what you want to do there.

By the way, in case you didn't know, if your car stereo has an Ipod interface, or accepts other external inputs, you can plug a headphone cable into the Cheetah AUDIOnode in-car warning unit and connect the other end into your stereo, for alerts through your car audio system.

Cheers Ally. AFAIK and according to Merc, there is nowhere into anything and it's all (radio, phone etc) built into the dash. Well, there probably is with the introduction of a large amount of shekels, however there is still the warranty issue, so the speedcheetah solution is the simplest and best IMHO.
Cheers for the detailed response. I'll get on it when I'm not working 7 days a week. Some recession, I've never been busier.

Re: LI Interface for sale @speedcheetah?
I am late to the party, I assume you can not hear the voice alerts from the LI?

Re: LI Interface for sale @speedcheetah?
No, LI's voice alerts are obviously stored in the software of the LI interface box. They are not stored in the software of Cheetah detectors or Cheetah's Audionode in-car warning unit so the Cheetah equipment obviously cannot give the LI voices.
The Cheetah products give their own alerts for jammer hits and a slightly different alert for parking sensor alerts.

I looked at the site and did not see it available for US customers, have a link?

working on it.
i'm still working on some different waterproof boxes to accommodate the larger sized LI CPU box. the rest of the kit is ready.
