Default 9500i reading ZR4 as ZR3

im sure its no big deal, but it does say in the ZR4 manual that it should appear as ZR4. . . but when I connected it to my 9500i just as a test tonight it read out as a ZR3 for the rear shifter error code (since its not there). . . and the setting mode also reads it as a ZR3

any input on this???

The shifter model is programmed into the 9500i's firmware. At SML, the Bel RX65 displayed LP905 when it was connected to the ZR4. The important thing is that, regardless of what laser shifter model your Bel or Escort RD displays, at least you know that the RD and laser shifter are properly talking to each other.

If MEM-TEK says so, I'd rest assured. Good question though.
