Just make sure the installer cleans the brackets and the attachment points on the car with isopropyl alcohol before applying the VHB tape.

and what happens should I want to take it off???

Soak with isopropyl alcohol and carefully slide a metal nail file between the tape and the bracket. Once the bracket is free, soak with more isopropyl alcohol and use lots of thumb pressure to slowly rub the VHB tape free while pulling on it at the same time. The entire process will take 10 minutes to do for a 1" x 3" strip of VHB tape, but all of the tape will come off without leaving a mark. Any bits of remaining VHB adhesive residue will then rub off with a towel soaked with isopropyl alcohol.
