COBRA XRS 9700 VS. COBRA XRS 777
Xrs9700 VS. xrs777 These models are exactly the same the only difference is the cost, so do not go to circuit city or best buy to buy them go to Wal-Mart and get the xrs 777 for a fraction of the cost. I got one and like it. Seems to have good range and pop works some times. I just thought I would let yall know because saving money is good :P.
XRS 9400= about $200
XRS 777= $126

Clayter21 the Cobra XRS-9700 is about $200 not the 9400! The goods about it are it has a compass. That is about it. I like how you can turn X-band off too. This radar detector is not worth $130. If you want something good go by the Whislter Pro-73 for about $150, The falsing on Ka band is ridiculous because other radar detectors make it go off. It usually goes up to 2 out of 5 which is bad. I turn POP off because they don't use it in my area. The falsing on this band sucks because it goes off all the time. I would rate this unit a 5 out of 10. Don't buy from Wal-Mart. They have built their business on stomping out the "little guy" like Roy with their sheer mass. They may be cheaper but they will never support you like a smaller independently-run business.
You can buy the XRS-9700 from Roy for just over $130, not even $5 over the Wal-Mart price, and he has excelent service, unlike Wal-Mart.

Better to buy from a source that gives you knowledge (roy) than to buy from a source that says 'oh i like this one because its shiny' Stupid teenagers.
well as for buying at wollyworld! its ok cause you can buy and if you think
it does not work like it says u can alllways return the radar detector for full refund price so i would try it out i would pass on the cobra models they

does better than a whistler 1730 at picking up the stalker dual ka radar band i drove around with it for a few not bad for the $ i think
