    Default Sensoro versus V-1

    Hello,

    here is the situation :

    i have 2 rd in my car : sensoro hard wired + v-1 version 1.7 built 2002.

The 2 rd are always on one at a time , never together.

    Going , NY state , 87 .

The v-1 is on , sensoro is off.

I pick-up an alert from trooper coming in my back ,

he is at least 1/2 mile behind.Full alert .

I shut off the v-1 , turn on my sensoro : no alarm at all , nothing.

Did the same at another time , same scenario .

My v-1 is dashed mounted , lighter plugged.

The Sensoro is hard-wired but mounted at level knee , it always

work well but do not pick-up this kind of radar :

mobile radar that catch speeder from the back , used in NY highways.

Any clue of what is the explanation.

But , I am surprised that a 24 inches max height makes a difference.

Let remember that the trooper is closing in ,

so the signal is even better/stronger at the time i swicthed to the sensoro.

This was in 2 different occasions.

Could it be the sensoro do not set off on the band used

    by this mobile radar ?

The lower the radar detector is mounted the worse it performs. The only fair test would to mount the sensero the same as the v1...

also the v1 has a rear antenna and the sensero doesn't making it alot worse for picking up rear radar...

    Stalker ,

you are right , i checked my sensoro at the

    shopping center .

The signal from the automatic door are weak , so when i put lower the

    sensoro

it stops picking up the signal , moved it 20 inches up , it

    set off ,

so all in all my sensoro is good comparing the ratio price/value.

    thanks

I bought a silver bullet a while back from costco to try it out and well you can't even compare it to a rx65, x50 or v1.

You are just right , I own also a v-1 , but i cannot use it in my area , it is just ''uncordless''.Sensoro is not the top of the line but for a cordless it does the job honestly. Also price is a factor altough a v-1 is a solid investment.

    Agree.

i've tested my sensoro top to bottom.

it does give u time to slow down, but you must act quick.

The warning time on k band just gives u enough time to slow down.

If ka is detected, you have much better warning time.

The detector does really bad over the slightest hill.

video coverage on whistler pro 73 & pni silver bullet coming soon.

That's like comparing a Viper to a Cavalier.....
