Are there ANY decent Cobras out there???

My wife loves Cobra "Radar Detectors" and will not use anything else (something about others being annoying...) SO, I am forced to get another cobra unit for her.

Anything even close to reasonable range?

If ur name is the TheBenzMan and you have an 8500(which is decent) then your wife's name must be TheKiaWoman. I would never own a cobra. Agaisnt any form of Instant On they are useless. Cobras take a minimun of 3 seconds to alert to any single radar band. TELL YOUR WIFE TO GET RID OF THE COBRA. ITS USELESS!!!

Get her an 9500ci or ix and install it so she can't see the label, turn on truelock the GPS will cut out everything "annoying" after about a week and she'll love the new "cobra" that you got her.

TheBenzMan, here is what you need to do in 7 easy steps.

1. Show her how the Cobra performed in the GOL RD test

2. Tell her that and Escort 9500ix learns the false alerts and will be false free detector in a short period of time. (We all know the main reason women hate RDs is because of falses)

3. Show her how much better the Escort 9500ix performs over the Cobra. (and almost every other windshield mount radar detector)


4. Get in car and drive to Bestbuy.

5. Purchase the 9500ix.

6. Mount/Hard wire it in her car.

7. Watch her fall in love with it!!
