I heard it's so powerful that it detects and alerts to the background spatial radiation left over from the Big Bang, because you never know when a UFO might bust you for speeding.

It's an ESD model, which are the cheapest, crappiest, leakiest ones. The ones Walmart sells for 30 bucks. Which brings us to:

How many it WILL detect: Probably zero. How many the packaging claims it will detect? Probably a dozen or so.
I have to wonder how Cobra RDs can get FCC approval when they leak so much.

That radiation isn't from the Big Bang, it's from UFOs with Cobras aimed at... uh... space above the UFO?

Wait, wait, I just solved quantum physics and the question of everything. Turns out that, sometime in the near future, there will be enough Cobras pointed at the sky that they create a small rip in the fabric of spacetime with all their RF interference. That rip will open a hole to other dimensions, which will radiate as-of-yet unknown energy into our universe in the form of an intense, focused beam. This beam will ping off of a satellite and accidentally end up targeted at the Large Hadron Collider, which will smash atoms at the speed of light and create a Higgs Boson at that exact instant. The unknown energy beam will react with the Higgs Boson, creating a rift in space that will reverberate back through the timeline to the beginning, unleashing the explosion we now know as the Big Bang.
Ironically, the shockwaves from this event destroyed the universe at the same instant they created it, thereby causing a paradox in which Cobra radar detectors simultaneously resulted in the beginning and the end of time.
And that, my friends, is why God invented Cobra radar detectors.

Wonder how many here have filed FCC complaints, and how many it would take for them to do something about it?
Part 15's conditions are clearly outlined.

If you can't search I'm just not going to answer. I'm just flat tired of sounding like a broken record.

You think that sh!t is funny, huh? You've obviously never been abducted and probed...
Finally the ESD series has been upgraded to 15 bands to match their bigger brothers. I can't wait to sink my teeth in one
Bear in mind that "15 bands" doesn't refer to detection, but leakage.
The new ESD series now interferes with 15 different bands.
