    Sorry about this.

Later I will try to but I know one thing for certain.

There were some software changes in later models because my Cobra tells narrower in bad freqs. like the whistlers does unlike the unit you tested.
This is just a feature and has nothing to do with performance. I'm pretty sure the detection platform is the same.

well one more post while I have time.

yes, I know it a feature but the detector IMO has to to monitor in band feqs, much more carefully to accomplish this.

apparently it does as it is pretty accurate from what I have seen so far.

    Unlike mt Whistler !

I have AGES of experience with RD's and the new Cobra's have been a very nice pleasant surprise.

R/R will even back me on this ! LOL !

So, send it to me. I'll real world test it and post the videos. What model is it?

I would but surprisingly to me as anyone else I am as fond of this little so called under achiever Cobra as many people are of their v 1's !

I would just miss it too much

the area I live in has a constant off and on radar trap going all the time with very creative troopers running the show,

they run IO/CO and all variations in between and move their traps constantly and the road is both curved and very hilly with flat stretches

this unit has been tested out eight ways to sunday and then some.

I should be asking you to send me your detectors for testing in fact !

    But I'm not..

Fine. What model number is it? I'll buy one and see if it's as good as you say.

I got mine for cheap at a radio shack clearance LOL !

    all gone

along with a Bell 995 that just sits in the box so far as the Cobra's list of features are pretty superior

    a Cobra XRS 9990

but if I were you you may want to step your game up a bit further and go for the best in the series with touch keypad and with the lifetime aura subscription

that is what I would do

Frankly even better thing to do is save your cash and wait for the NEW series and be one of the first to check it out.

    It's coming out soon

Clearly this has to be the best detector Cobra has ever made. In fact it might be the best detector ever made.

Not only does it detect 15 bands, but it has "super xtreme range superheterodyne" technology, a big leap forward from their lesser models that only have "xtreme range superheterodyne" technology.

If you're willing to buy a Cobra, I'll send my STi Magnum, and do a side by side test for comparison.

That would be pretty interesting indeed but I believe the magnum with it's two specially designed specific band antenna would just be a tad bit better,

You'll get no argument from me about that.
