come on now we both know it is.

It is a nice feature you have to admit.
No, it's not pertinent. A radar detector must first be able to adequately detect radar. Only then, do I care about its features. For example, I have Escort Live!, which as far as I know, does everything Aura does. I never use Escort Live!, because in order to use it, I have to use my Escort 9500ix instead of my V1. Since my V1 performs better and has significantly better rampup than does my 9500ix, I choose to use my V1 over my 9500ix with Escort Live!. So, I choose performance over features, always.

The unit provides extra detection range and the best possible advance warning to even the fastest of POP mode radar guns. .

( It comes with a GPS Locator and Lifetime updates to the AURA™ Database to alert you to verified Speed and Red Light Camera locations, dangerous intersections, and reported Speed Trap locations for entire United States and Canada.)

Other features include Cobra exclusive Touchscreen, full-color ExtremeBright DataGrafix Display, an 8-point electronic compass, Voice Alert, car battery voltage display/low car battery warning and much more.
......and none of that matters if it sucks at detecting radar. Seems like a simple concept, but maybe I'm wrong.

And even if I am, it won't change how well the Cobra performs when I mount it in my car.

This is personal to me. I hate people that put out misinformation. That's why I'm willing to pay over $100 to find out if what you say is true of not.
