actually it doesn't as I have been hit with it back words and forwards and it reported it very faithfully.

and good distance very sufficient to slow down.

sorry folks that the author of this personal test seems to believe the Cobra isn't quite "crap"

I will have to complain to him about this !

For $300 I sure hope it isn't as bad as the $35 versions.
    Untill I see some legit testing to prove otherwise,Cobra = wal-mart crap....period.

well you can look up the speedzones test for one but I guess if it isn't a gol test it isn't legit.

all the other rd testers are in a mass conspiracy with each other don't you know.

Hope you have your microwave proof foil hat on !

BTW you can get the version tested for 140 dollars now. It's not 300 anymore.

I shouldn't tell you this but all the other detector testors met every year with the rd manufacturers to fix their tests and the prices of detectors. The one with the most cash to bribe the testers is made the winner.

apparently Cobra doesn't like to pay too much bribery money out.

Probably because they manufacturer much more things then detectors.

    That happens to me too.

just to add to your statement

I have tested newer more expensive Cobras with other detectors including Bells and they don't set them off.

but Bells and other detectors will set these Cobra's off !

spectre emissions by the l/O are a different story

different set of emissions then traffic radar

these Cobra's are immune to the spectre 1 though I believe.

Most newer RD's are immune to Spectre 1 and 2 also VG2 (not used much anymore).

All of the emissions from from electronics whether intentional or not all fall under FCC rules part 15.
your no doubt right on both accounts

I don't care for the review because he wrote that he used each for several weeks but couldn't get a handle on their sensitivity/performance until he ran them side by side, when there is no doubt interference.
I can't use my high end RDs at the same time because of interference.
This was a very very basic review that doesn't teach a potential buyer of either product anything at all.

frankly I haven't seen these Cobra's interfere with any other detector

but other detectors appear to interfere with it.

and I have tried it with numerous detectors.

That model Cobra may not interfere too much but it is still there and shouldn't be done in a review. The only two that I will run together is the Redline/V1 and interference does sometimes happen, which is why I don't view them together as a competition with a "winner".
