I have a really good feeling about this new Cobra D.S.P.,the company’s first digital detector! I believe with what's inside this new unit will finally take Cobra out of the lowest spot in the R.D. industry and at the least put them up there with Whistler, but I honestly think Cobra has Whistler beat now as far as range detection goes. Released August 10, 2015.

Cobra Electronics Unveils DSP 9200 BT — Company’s Most Compact and Technically Advanced Radar Detection System To-Date

    AUGUST 10TH, 2015 | COBRA ELECTRONICS | CHICAGO, IL

CHICAGO, IL (August 10, 2015) — Cobra Electronics Corporation, the leading designer and marketer of award-winning automotive, mobile and consumer electronics, today announced the general availability of the DSP 9200 BT Digital Radar Detector, Cobra’s most advanced detection system ever. The DSP 9200 BT is the company’s first digital radar detector and is 50 percent smaller than Cobra’s models from several years ago.
The DSP 9200 BT embeds new and advanced technology for precise notifications through use of digital signal processing (DSP) to identify real alerts from unwanted noise, allowing for greater alert reliability. It also includes a brand new Advanced Frequency Display Mode for determining exact frequencies of signals and alerting the user with an intuitive graphic display. With these technology upgrades, the DSP 9200 BT is easily the most powerful, accurate and affordable detector in its class.
    Additional key features include:

    • SpeedMute™ automatically mutes unwanted alerts while driving below your desired speed setting
    • AutoCity™ automatically switches between City and Highway mode based on speed and other information from your smartphone
    • QuietDrive™ special muted driving mode for less audible feedback when talking with passengers or on the phone
    • 360 Laser Detection & LaserRelay™ early and accurate detection of laser-based threats and simultaneously relaying information to other users via the Cobra iRadar app and database
    • Collision Avoidance System Immunity – immunity to false alerts from other vehicle’s Collision Avoidance Systems (CAS), which use radar signals and potential triggering of false alarms

“Driving enthusiasts are core to our rapidly expanding base of loyal customers, and all of us at Cobra consistently strive to provide them with the most technologically advanced and feature-rich products in our class,” said Sally Washlow, president of Cobra Electronics. “The incredible new DSP 9200 BT achieves those goals and represents true state-of-the-art detector technology, and today we are delighted to release it to the driving enthusiast community.”
The DSP 9200 BT also offers additional awareness through access to Cobra’s iRadar® Community via Bluetooth® technology. The Cobra iRadar App allows users to receive AURA® red light and speed camera and trap notifications, threat areas and verified user-reported alerts of upcoming live police locations and other real-time traffic threat information. Additionally, the iRadar app even offers basic navigation, a car finder and music control. Through advanced audio routing, users can run detection, navigation and music apps in concert, either to the car stereo or to a Bluetooth headset.
The DSP 9200 BT is available now at Amazon and Cobra.com for a retail price of $399.95.

I've been testing this unit for a few days now and I have to say that I am impressed. Some my concerns is the display can be hard to see in bright sunlight and iRadar is not as mature as Escort Live and would like to see a more competitive price

As far as filtering, its outstanding!! Very few false K band alerts and the sensitivity and range on K is AWESOME.

There is a new Redflex K-band photo radar camera about 40 miles from here and been testing it, along with several other detectors and the 9200 almost comes out on top.

Ka performance is very good too
