    Default Which Detector....??????

I'm new to this forum just found out about it yesterday. I'm in the process of getting a radar detector. I actually just ordered the Passport 8500 x50 by Escort with the Red display. So i should be expecting that by Monday or Tuesday. My only concern now is should i keep this particular detector or get the RX 65??? I've heard about it so i'm at a dilema of what to do and which one to go with? If you all would help me out regarding this matter. I've read a few reviews but it just doesn't come out and say "You should go with such and such rd". Thanks in advance,

You really can't go wrong with Either RX 65, X50 or V1. All are great detectors. It depends on your needs.
They all have their advantages and their minuses.

What has a v-1 user and Custer at the little Big Horn have in common?

answer.. They both have to watch constantly which direction the arrows are pointing..

It depends on how many falses your c ity puts out. The only reason I recommend the x50 over the rx65 (even though ive never owned an rx65) is because it can track 2K 2KA and 4X at once, which if you are going by a falsing spot on K band, you can still know if another K band lies ahead. It really depends on how dense of a city you live in

    Default Great Point

    Great Point Sethy,

I love the expert mode on the x50. Just today I was going through town and had 1 xband and 2 ka bands at the same time. Why? 2 City Cops at McDonalds. Suprise. My V1 will usually list multiple "Bogies" in town if a store has 2 electronic doors then 2 "Bogies" If you are in the city a lot, can't beat x50. A lot of highway driving, love the V1. My advise...buy them both...

The bogey meter has never really helped me. The counter is always jumping up and down so quick, and some days it will detect more bogeys then usual, so I dont even pay attension to it anymore

to who ever pm me yes i have tried the x50 before and i did not like it
and yes i live in the city of tulsa the reason i did not like the x50 was
because it keep going off all the time every time i key my cb radio down.
I hate that dont know what was the deal. but my cheap whister 1730 does not go off unless i am keying down over 500watts and the x50 was going of with my 30 watt radio hope it does not happen to my valentine one
or i will be sad. I Guess we will see when i get it
