    Default Blinder

What make and color is the vehicle you're driving?

My recommendation is the Blinder Xtreme M-20 which comes with two transponders (jammers) that are to be mounted between each front headlight and front plate.

They have consistenly garnered the highest marks in effectively jamming laser and have produce little or no jamming codes on just about all of the guns that have been used against it.

I would also recommend getting Veil as a means of significantly reducing the overall visual signature to laser whether you augment your defense with an active jammer or not.

    Roy offers it here.

    Good Luck.

BTW, I would also suggest that you tend to mount your detector low and center on your windshield to maximize the chances that your x50 will see incoming laser.

    Default Shifter

The Shifter is good but not the best

In tests at SML there was a punch through range of around 100' with my truck and no punch through with the Blinder. Also the Blinder does not give off any jamming codes as the Blinder

    Default This one's for Roy

This question is definately for Roy.

My experiences to date have only been with Blinder so he'll be in a better position to field this question.

What you speak of is characteristic of police laser, lidar - no advanced warning.

In addition to considering a jammer, I would suggest you acquire veil.

Since you drive a black vehicle you'll most benefit from it.

The nature of Veil is to provide you the precious seconds you need to react to an actual laser alert and safely slow down to avoid the ticket you would otherwise be receiving.

This product is for real. :P Here are the summary results from SML's June '04 Testing.

Best of luck to you, Iknox.

    Default Roy?

Roy will be better to answer this question question, but, IMHO, the Blinder M-20 is likely the way to go:

Please try our Veil product - you won't be disappointed!

Provide us with some feedback the next time you stumble upon a laser trap when you are protected with VEIL! This is the kind of commentary I would love to hear [provided of course, its not a point blank range! ]

I believe another forum member, happya$$ has also been hammered with laser [in Ohio].

BTW, here's the link to the Blinder M-20 two transponder model.

What state is harris country? Would you consider posting the local of the speed traps you are encountering on this forum's Speed Trap Info section?

The M20 and Veil has saved my happy a$$ on a few occasions. I have not been lasered in about a month now, basically due to the crappy weather that we have had in Ohio. BOTH of these products are awesome. Ohio LOVES laser so these two are a MUST for me, JUST AWESOME products, period!
