Well I got the Whistler 1743 first, and I must say, it was better than expected.
Price: $79.99 + tax
Pros:
Volume [9 Levels]
Non-Annoying Voice Alert
2 City Modes [1st Mode: Low X Sensitivity 2nd: No X),
Stay Alert [Prompts the driver to respond or alarm goes off, awesome for long drives]
Good Filtering [Even on highway, the filtering is awesome for all bands]
Awesome Alert Tones [Distint Tones that you can hear over even the loudest of music]
Mount [Awesome mount in regards to how they made it, very strong (except for the suction cups), however they have one thing that i've never seen before, they have a third rubber nub that is halfway down the mount so if it hits the windshield when you're driving, it hits that rubber nub, AWESOME for people with non-stock stereos)
VG-2 Alert/Cloaking: [Even the cheapest of detectors have this]
Cons:
VG-2 Falsing [cobra units that are on infront of this unit in another car will cause a VG-2 Alert]
No Multi-threat Display
No Solid Tone
Alert Tones Blend [If The Threat Is Getting Closer, It Is Harder To Tell With The Way The Alerts Sound]
Non-Coiled Powercord [They provide this as an option]
Suction Cups [Small, semi-crappy suction cups however once in place they are ok]
Netural:
SWS [Not widely used. Can't be turned off]
More to follow as I start using in these next two weeks, I'll let you guys and gals know my final results in two weeks.
