Default I am now a rocky mountain dealer guys.......

I picked up an issue of C/D today and saw RMR's ad. I noticed they are now charging a $40 restocking fee for each item returned.

Here is my theory, Rual makes $40 on each item regardless if you keep it or not. No I don't mean the obvious, I mean that must be what his profit is if you keep the unit.

Hence, he wins either way. Wonder what that guy is worth today? :?

It's the only way he can make any money considering I'm sure that 95% of the units he sells end up getting returned...

I'm sure there is less than $40 in cost in any of their product. Raul must be making more money on one returned detector than GM is making selling 8 million cars a year...

At SML, when I held it in my hand- it felt like just the plastic case.

It is a cheap radar detector that costs maybe 10 bucks to make...

For chp and local cops is when they catch you speeding, they don't write down how they caught you usually, not for radar anyway, and for laser, they do but usually only label the feet not the device. I'm sure many other leos do this too.
