    Default Georgia Jammerfest October 2009

We choose to use a flat 1300ft course. This was to gain a comparison vs. the MOAC. I operated the Lidar gun.
We tried a little blinder vs. LI test on the rear of category4's white ford f150. I messed up the test if you are looking for a direct comparison. With the blinder I was aiming outer corner of taillights. With the LI I was aiming pretty much rear third brake light. I moved to that area to get PT since the taillight aiming was fairly JFG. LI was not always alerting to the roof shots. Only comparable figure is the last blinder results under the LI testing results. SORRY. My personal impressions from behind the gun leads me to believe that blinder has come a long way. I would say LI was about 20-30% (estimate) more coverage.....

During the test we found that one of bradthemad's rear heads was bad. Last test we found out one of his rear heads was bad. He replaced that head now the other head is bad. After a few runs and isolating the problem. He unplugged the bad head and we ran some single head rear tests. The head obviously was not optimally mounted.

    Radar Testing
We set up a stationary Stalker ATR pointed in the opposite direction from the cars. We used a Laser Atlanta to determine distance. One thing we noticed was power cycling was important to get accurate readings. Seems once the V1 got a sniff of the signal even after it lost it for a few minutes it was still looking for it specifically.

Nice job getting it posted so quick.

The 813 shows it's stuff again as well as Rsatmans shows his marksmanship. this course was a straight, flat course about 1500' long.

The M27 on the rear of the F-150 did not do bad when you compare it to the LI. Keep in mind all these shots were pretty much Elevato style at extreme edges.

Did all V1's had a tune up recently? Was the 813 recently tuned up than the other V1's?

I think the 813 just returned from a tuneup, not sure about the other 2.

Yeah the 3.813 just came back from a tune up. I do not believe the 3.863 or 3.858 have ever been in for one. They do have the digital temp though.....

I'd like to see how the other V1s would have done if they had recent tune-ups... maybe the 318 is that much better but you'd hate to see a mad buying dash for them if a large part of the results was from a tune-up.

Without formatting its a little hard to read. No big deal but I want to ask a question on the lidar tests. I take it the numbers are the PT distances?

That F150 is very impressive considering its white and has only 2 heads up front. I wonder how well it would do with 3 jammer heads to balance out the width of the truck?

Yes the numbers on the lidar tests are the PT's.

The front I think is good, the rear needs 3 heads to balance out the width in my opinion. But over all I think it performed quite well with 2 heads front and 2 rear.
