Why isn't there a write-up on this new model from Beltronics and how good is the perfomance. Anybody care to comments

Roy has a post that states it is the same as the Bel RX65 according to what Beltronics told him, but during Roy's test he said it did not filter falses as good as the RX65. I noticed on the test report on radarbusters.com the 995 range seemed to be slighty shorter than the RX65, that's what I remember seeing.

Yes, the techs at Bel say it is the same detector as the RX65 without the travel case. In testing the range was a bit shorter and filtering lower. But again, you could take two identical RX65 units and see the same difference during the same test

Roy seeing as the Bel RX65 and Bel 995 are the same detector, and your site says that the RX65 along with the 8500 X50 both 'multiple threat counters' So can the 995 detect up to 9 threats
Spoiler: show
I use the Bel Vector 995 for a couple of weeks now and I really like it. It is way better than the Bel Express 925 I used before and I doesn't false much in my opinion.
No false at all is in my opinion is very difficult.
It has all I need and the range of detection is very good.
Price is good also. You can get it pretty cheap on ebay...
If the 995 could be just as good as the RX65, then why is it rated 4 1/2 stars instead of 5 stars like the RX65?
Are the ratings just based on the individual detectors Roy tested or the detector model as a whole?
The 995 cannot detect multiple threats.Originally Posted by crazyVOLVOrob

stalker- you are absolutly correct on that. My mistake. It will detect and prioritize, but can only show one threat on the display.
There are differences
The V995 does not have the autoscan feature for Ka band. The unit comes programmed to scan the entire Ka band.
Filtering: In tests that I have done with known false alert locations, the RX65 was able to filter out the false alerts better
