This past weekend I had the pleasure of meeting up with fellow forum members upstatedoc and Kapro(for the second time).
upstatedoc had rented a lidar unit to test out his new M47 (All-front configuration). It was (correct me if I am wrong) an LTI Ultralyte-LR.
We did numerous runs, the vast majority without me filming any of them. Only towards the very end did I shoot a few video's through the UL...
Through a bit of testing (I showed up a tiny bit late) we determined:
1) The install was fantastic, but the heads were angled just a tiny bit off, making extremely long-range shots have issues. Through minor tweaks of the set-up, he essentially proved JTG (as I remember from there on out)...
When I say essentially JTG: I mean it jammed for the 7-second factory timer after we fixed the aforementioned head-angle issues under both long-range and ambush (~sub 500ft shots).
It was me shooting, and I know I was not very steady, but almost anyone who has shot a camera through a Lidar unit's Display without a tripod will tell you it isn't easy..
So please don't say anything about the shooting quality, I admit it wasn't the greatest... it was much better when shooting NOT through the camera.
These are the only two videos that show much of anything with his car:
M47- Keep in mind the 7-second timer.

I changed my-setup just days before the meet: See thread:
Repositioned my Jammer heads...
Here are the videos: I know the shaking was an issue, but the shooting (especially that of KaPro) was much better than this... just so hard shooting video through the UL with the camera... I was shooting the video, and upstatedoc was driving my car:

(LS on front/rear plates, Light G4 coating on the HL that is super old, and black electric tape over the Honda Emblem on the front.)
(Look how quick the PT was on the white-car that passes in-front of me shooting).
The only front PT we got all day (if I remember) was 17MPH at 63ft or 43 feet (something to that effect) on passenger side HL (If I remember correctly).
On the rear... I think I got a PT @ 404ft on a corner light, but not positive (as there was a silver car riding right next to it at the time and I panned across it too).
I know my corner-lights are a weak-spot, but CM is rock-solid, and I can't afford a newer jammer... so I can't be sure if this was me or the other car, but they are a known weak-spot
BOTTOM LINE: I had a great time with both upstatedoc and Kapro... I hope we can do this again soon with a few different guns.
I can't thank upstatedoc enough for renting the gun and being the DD (he seriously did a good 3/4-4/5ths of the driving of the cars) , and Kapro was the designated shooter (for all but the few recorded runs)... and his truck was the base of operations.
I hope to see them again, and hopefully more members will come if possible (it was super short notice for many members, I only could go because I had plans to meet in the area)... maybe this time with a little-less LEO presence in the area:
We never got a talking to, but between a Sheriff who lingered in the area, a NYST Crown-Vic Interceptor who drove by two or 3 times, and a NYST SUV unit who sat within eye-shot for a fair amount of time... it sure made for a few anxious moments.
Again, thanks a bunch to both of those guys, both class-acts and gentlemen to the last!
Hope they have a few things to add as I can't remember it all... and maybe correct a few things I might have misspoke on.
