Default Fill the headlights with this?

    How about a silica aerogel?

Silica aerogel strongly absorbs infrared radiation. It allows construction of materials that let the light into the buildings, but traps heat for solar heating.

Graphite absorbs IR as well and when mixed with other liquid properties it'll have the same grey color as a certain stealth coating.

i think the silica aerogel would cause the lamps to burn out as it is a great insulater. It does have IR absobing properties.
