I'm not paranoid. But cops tend to have a nasty attitude toward civilians. Some are cool civilized people and some are complete assholes who couldn't make the cut in another career. They love collecting revenue from us on the road. Whether or not if we are guilty of speeding. Waze is fine the way it is. I was just suggesting possible improvements. And I'm not concerned with dudes bro. Get outta with that mess.

Probably because you call them cops and assholes. Ever wonder why we use LEO here? It's because it doesn't piss them off when they read this forum. 99/100 people on here respect them and think they're an important part of society, but they disagree with the laws put in place. Don't kill the messenger bro.
Honestly I could care less about them. As a society, we are not born into this world to be subservient to cops or LEOs. I do respect the stand up guys that are apart of the law enforcement society. There are some that are great people who work to Serve and Protect. On the end of the spectrum, there are some who are on a power trip and abuse their authority. I completely disagree that 99% of the RD.net group have the uttermost respect for LEOs. Probably somewhere in the range of 60%. We have a shared interest in counter measure devices. So all of us want to dodge them and avoid increased insurance and court cost$. So please stop talking about topics that are irrelevant to the forum. Help other people out with useful knowledge.

Okay question about waze. I have downloaded both waze and trapster. I see on trapster that every curve in the road is marked as a known enforcement area and to me that can be annoying to get so many alerts. I decided on the 9500 IX Radar Detector for a reason. Peace and quiet unless there is a true alert. I don't really want to add another item to my countermeasure stockpile just to have it alert every few minutes. I noticed while driving with trapster there are areas marked I have never seen a cop at??
With waze I see that there are no known enforcement areas marked. It seems that only live issues are noted on the waze map? This this correct?? Also how long do police encounters stay on the map once they are sent in??? And lastly if there is a police point along your route how does waze notify you and how far in advance??? On trapster you can set the alert distance but I don't see an option like that on waze?
Thanks
Shannon
Trapster range is nice at 1 mile radius from any direction and police reports stays one hour. I've seen Waze police report over an hour old but now there is so much activity most reports are not more than 20-30 minutes. Most police reports are around 550 feet as long as they in the direction of the user. If not in the direction, no report. That's why I'll double report in each direction. I have received reports over 600 feet but not too often at highway speeds.
I also noticed on trapster that I can go to multiple large cities in my area and I don't see any live police traps on the trap map?? Is the live police reporting not used much?
I even went to some of the largest cities in the US like new york. I see no live police reports only known enforcement areas. If there are never updated live police alerts I don't think it would be helpful. Also there are TONS of enforcement areas marked. You might as well assume police are around every corner. I am wondering if this would be helpful as a countermeasure.
Waze I think is weird and difficult to use.
What are your opinions on this

Trapster is dead. Waze has only gotten popular the last year or so. Lots of teething issues as Waze is used around the world. Nothing is perfect and will never be when it depends on user's input.
