Default The Power of the Pack

Sorry Cesar. I was traveling in a pack of about 10 cars or so, making it difficult for the Moto CHP to pick me out of the crowd, which is a good thing because I couldn't see him until I was about 100ft from him. He seemed to just skip all of us and was targeting someone behind us as we passed him. The LEO was sitting in a very unusual place for CHP. They are almost always on the outside lane of the freeway.

Yeah, he was shooting behind us. I don't know if had just set up shop or the car in front of our pack saw him in time or what. The whole pack was cruisin' though, definitely 80+.

Yikes. Looks like I'll be putting on that G4 front and out back and move the LE-30 to the rear once my LI comes in, at least until Cliff gets the slim heads back in stock

Hockey: where are you in NJ? We should grab lunch one day!

I'm going to guess he might have encountered some speed acquisition difficulties. Just a hunch.

DJ: where did you wind up mounting the LI control module. I'm worried about not hearing it if I go behind the glove box.

Yet another video with crap "music". Sounded like the CD was skipping or something.

Two theories:

1. The pack established the "flow of traffic", therefore not standing out. But someone behind you was gaining on you, and he was after the fastest vehicle. Not uncommon at all.

2. He knew there was a pack and intended to catch the straggler, which is a very common practice. Nobody likes a hanger-oner.

Mine is mounted behind this panel, basically at the top left side of this picture. I can't hear my speaker either, so I have gone slightly ghetto for the moment and pulled the control box out from behind the panel so I can hear it. My installer is getting me another Escort speaker so we can make the LI loud enough for me to hear at cruising speed with the top down and the stereo up.
