Default V1 vs. Stalker dual 34.7GHz, awesome range

My friend is pretty funny when it comes to the V1. He thought it was a fire station alert.

It ramped down a lot quicker than I expected. I think he was only running the front antenna. That's perfect range, though. I really cannot imagine why anyone thinks doubling that range (with the 9500ci) would be of any real benefit. That's like believing it's better to wake up four hours before work than two hours, when it only takes you half an hour to get there. No thanks!

The V1 does double bogey with 34.7 stalker dual even when it is not overloaded. Here's a video I made.

Ooooh! Great vid! So that was one single Stalker Dual? This explains a lot of encounters I have had where I could not account for that second bogey! Thanks!

In this test, only one antenna was used for the stalker dual. The duals can use only one antenna at a time either front or rear. But you can get 2 bogeys from 2 active source from a single unit when the stalker DSR 2X is using both the front and the rear. The stalker DSR 2X is the only radar unit in the market today that can use both the front and the rear simultaneously. It's actually 2 stalker DSR units packed in one single unit. Here's a video of the DSR 2X in action. Notice the windows for both the front and rear with individual hold switch and display.

I've seen that video before, but thanks for taking the time to explain it.

The DSR seems to have a much more modern interface and features than the units currently used in CA.

your eyes can be useful if theyre in plain sight but you need to be lucky all the time and they only need to be lucky once

thinking otherwise means that you are overestimating your eyesight and underestimating your luck if you get away.

theres very little (if any) radar left here and i have been hit several times by laser this year from places i would never have spotted them first. you can see a few of these on my youtube page.

without my LPPs and V1 i would have been nailed 4 times this year and once more last november. i was actually running a whistler back then but it still played its part. however i prefer the V1 laser alert. very hard to miss .

at the end of the day, speeding without countermeasures is a more costly game. ive racked up enough saves in less than a year to justify my setup and more........
