Escort 9500ci and Valentine One 3.864 against K band - Fotorapid C
If you don't count the V1's first alert from really far away, it beat the Escort 9500ci by 12 seconds in a frontal constant-on K band attack. The Escort 9500ci beat the V1 by 4 seconds in a rear constant-on K band attack scenario.

I'd bet this is the case, although, my first mount didn't seem to affect X or K band much, it was Ka band mostly. Anyhow, I'd take the radar detection Pepsi challenge anyday.

The fact that the 9500ci is significantly more sensitive on K and Ka bands compared to a V1 is really killing JAZZY! Don't worry JAZZY. You should still feel confident driving with your V1.

Note that V1 is there in EuroMode (read descriptions: "U+X"), what gives significant improovement on K and Ka band in european conditions. Note also that V1 is really high on a windshield and 9500ci's antenna is "low in bumper" and the test car is behind another car. When the road is clean, 9500ci beats V1 even prior to a curve. So what your telling me is that the Escort 9500ci will beat the Valentine One as long as there are no cars on the road in front of your car. Good luck driving around without hundreds of cars in front of your car blocking your signals. Also, the V1 first alerted to k band 1022 meters away and the Escort 9500ci didn't first alert until 745 meters away.

Note that Valentine One is in EuroMode. You don't use euro mode in US aren't you?!
Enyway - if 745 or even 400m is not enough for you to slow down from, for example, 120kmph to 60kmph, you shouldn't get into the car - you're too old or too drunk then. But I believe this is not a problem for V1 user, who needs to slow down at 240m (when this Fotorapid C is measuring from behind), isn't it?

And especially if it only gives improved difference on a clear highway, with no vehicles in front of you. I wondered about that from looking at other members' ci installs. It HAS to be more sensitive to make up for the mounting position being so horrible.
