so i was driving back from houston to dfw in the interstate highway and it was raining. doing about 75mph (70psl)..i was behind one vehicle and another vehicle next to me (2lanes). as i was passing through a small creek/bridge, i hit a puddle of water or something. i suddenly started to hydroplane and started skidding to my left!! my first reaction i hit the brake. well, that starting makin me lose control very badly...i tried my best not to hit the brake too hard or over correct the steering... i must have skidded around for at least 10sec... lucky, the car on my left slow down and back off, and i re-gain control of my vehicle. just inches away from the wall barrier to my right..i know i know, i shouldnt have jam on my brakes.. but i think if i didnt hit it to slow me down i would have crash into the car to my left or the barrier wall that is on my right for sure. HOLY COW! THAT SCARED THE LIVING HECK OUT OF ME!!! thank goodness i made it out without a scratch or damage to my vehicle. lesson of the day, be careful driving in the rain and watch for puddles of water and dont drive too fast. bc you never know what will happen.
