I agree, but the 71 is a lot less in costs then 84 and I don't know anyone that day doing 65 because everyone was going about the same speed. You could almost use the analogy of like the gazelle going very fast like all in a herd and you just happen to be the unlucky one because the lion caught you. I don't mind being blamed for what I did do, but not something I did not which shows this system is faulty. My question is can it pick up others speeding, even going in the opposite direction and your car gets labeled as the 84 when you are doing 71. It happened here so I guess I am answering my own question. So How do you fight it? Should I request a plead down to the speed I suggested? Like the officer telling me they had to write up that speed because the corporal said it, which I think is a lie. I am just trying to get more info on the system they use and then find its faults. Obviously it has many.

RadarRob, I do believe your arsenal of Radar & Lidar equipment exceeds what most Pd's have on hand. Certainly more diverse! posted by Nine_c1

If traffic is very heavy then IO is virtually useless. Even with top shelf radar units they need to observe vehicles then pair the radar speeds to what they see. It's not like laser where they can shoot you directly. That's why many officers will use CO in traffic that way the stongest/fastest will help them "mark" cars they see hauling a$$ through traffic. The more traffic there is the more they have to observe the targets. Low traffic they can just play on their laptops and check the display when a speed comes up.
