Odd question maybe
I was thinking if you got pulled over for speeding could you ask them if either the LEO or Dept has a FCC license. If neither do could the radar reading be inadmissable in court?I am sure most if not all Depts have FCC licenses but just a thought.

Re: Odd question maybe
Well...
1) I'm sure all departments have it if they need it. If they don't need it, then this question wouldn't matter.
2) If they didn't, asking the officer on the side of the road would not be the place for that type of question. You would want to wait and deal with all that in court.Three times being pulled over. 1 Ticket-Pre-countermeasures

Re: Odd question maybe
As long as the department has an FCC license for their radios, they do not need a separate FCC license for operating the radar units.
