Measuring vehicle speed with traffic monitoring cameras (video)
There's a few of these I've noticed on YouTube before but this is the first one that was American-made software which calculated speed in MPH (as opposed to km/h like most of the videos).
Very basic and it only gets the speed once, but it seems accurate all things considered.
Could this be the future of speed enforcement? Almost all metro regions have hundreds of traffic monitoring cameras for the Department of Transportation...I know cameras in PA are monitored by a large dispatch center that can pull up any camera and zoom in, pan, etc.
I guess it's the same concept as speed cameras except it works in real time, it's video as opposed to still-shots, there's no flash mechanism, and the cameras, which are usually small in size as compared to speed cameras, are already set up.

You will be missed.
How did “Radar Roy” Dominate Radar Detector Sales Online When He Never Sold A Single One?
Sales came easily. He sold you a persona. He sold “Radar Roy.” He sold an ex-cop and expert. He sold a guy who was nice enough to cross over from being “the man.” He shared knowledge and recommendations directly with his “Perfect Customer.” His message created their “Fantasy Result” of not getting speeding tickets. And oh by the way, if you had interest in buying a radar detector, Roy Reyer’s Radarbusters network of 45 websites would also be nice enough to sell you exactly what you needed. This is how he built the multi-million dollar online empire that totally dominated an industry.

Outside of Philly they're illegal in Pennsylvania too. Just something unique that could result in enforcement without being entirely automated and without being physically on the road...
