    Default 8500 X50 IS A PICE OF sh!t

hay, i have been using it for about 4 months in Calgary, it is at rev 5
there is so many things using K band automatic door, everything getting so many k band errors it is stupid, i have to turn off x because of all the garbage it picks up.

Ii went by 3 photo radar vans it NEVER picked it up, and i got busted buy one!! KA my ass.
i have a 400.00 lump of wood on my dash. I read all the reviews that said it was SOOOOOO good. BS

wiht all the fals alarms the NOT picking up KA band. i dumping it on Ebay,
mabe in some area it works well but NOT in Calalgary Alberta CANADA.
    here it its worth less.

Well its obvious your new to detectors, try a V1 and come back and talk about falses... the top-of-the-line RD's are extremely sensative, you are going to get more falses over 2nd tier detectors... case closed.

Also did you read the manual and understand how to use it, from your unedited post I can see probably you didnt. Maybe you got a bum one, but it seems like it is picking up X&K band JUST LIKE IT SHOULD, and just like any of the big 3/4 will do. In Canada you should be using an STI, honestly... just judging from you demeanor in the post, this would seem more like user error (lack of judgement) to me then anything else... Have you gotten any self-cal or Service Req messages, this could also be a problem?

The X50 is in the Big 3/4 for a reason... thats because its a great detector... and in urban enviroments it is certianly one of the best (if not the best) with range+minimum x/k falses.
