more info!!! I'm assuming it'll cost money to have it upgraded? Is this for the new style x50 hardware or is it universal?!!!!!!!! eXCITE$D!!

Spoke to Escort this morning and they stated that Rev. can be used for Both X50's ( Red or Blue ). They also mentioned that Revs have no affect on Performance of the radar detector. The guy seemed to be pretty knowledgeable. Is this true? Does infact Revs have nothing to do with Performance? This kinda confused me.

hmm they have to do something. if not for performance, then what was the reason they made an update? did he say what it was for? if not extra range type performance then maybe bug fixes or better filtering or something like that. he may have been miscommunicating something.

It's probably the new internals they started using in the X50 and RX65 a few months ago. The firmware had to be tweaked to work with the updated hardware.

How it affects performance remains to be seen.

Wow... My x50 was just repaired and is being shipped home currently. I wonder what its gonna come with... Ill let you guys know.

Found out that the REV # doesnt mean anything. I called to get the status of my x50 and he told me it will still probably be 5 unless they changed alot of stuff. Its simply for the techs to know what the differences are among the different x50 batches. He said if there was an update then they would update it but it would probably be the same.

I asked about the atlanta stealth mode... he said they know about it and to call back around september! so Im guessing they are working on adding it to the x50/rx65/sti but we will see sometime near september.
