    looks like telephone service wire (to the dmark).

    There's a thread in the escort section that shows the x50 taken apart, I believe there's only 11 (or 14) connections that would have to be spliced. I certainly wouldn't recommend anybody try it unless you're experienced and/or don't mind smoking the detector.

    Which thread is it? I tried searching for over an hour but I still couldn't find it!

    There was a forum member who is here from time to time, and he did a similar thing with his X50, and he integrated the display into his radio display. Very, very slick. He later wired it back up "normal" and sold the X50
