The x50's advantage is better range detection, as for the POP mode, IMO it's useless since it's own manual says a speed reading obtained can not be used to issue a citation. POP is not on judicial notice and I would imagine is easy to dismiss in court
Yeah really POP is only neccesary dependent on where you live, if you live in an area that doesnt use POP all it is is a Cobra detector, and I suppose it sould recieve VERY weak and quick pulses of instant-on or constant on RADAR (Much like laser scatter kind of... it did it for me once in TX and no departments around me use MPH guns at all, its all Stalker on Radar)
Well one night this week i got harassed my a cop, i was going down my road and he pulls out behind me and drops far back and my radar would go KA all the way up then down fast and repeat ws this POP ON
This happens here in Cleveland all the time. A cop will pull up behind me, either right up my bumper, or lagging back about 10 car lengths.Originally Posted by Levi
They constantly shoot the radar on and off, or sometimes leave it constant on. Usually I'm convinced they are doing it to me off because they saw my radar detector.
In REALITY HOWEVER, they are not messing with you... what they are doing, is using you for cover as they shoot oncoming traffic with radar. So you will be focused on them thinking they are harassing you, when he is just trying to get the opposite lane drivers.
Exactly correct...he is hitting other lane trafficOriginally Posted by lordhamster
No it more than likely was not POP---It was instant on. Kind of hard to tell if its POP because there are no visual indications. Well I guess you could have gone into Spec mode to see what the Freq was.Originally Posted by Levi
