    Default x-50 Self Calibration

    is their anyway to start the self calibration again? im using my freinds while hes at colllege and he turned it off while it was in self calibration mode and he thinks that it screwd something up.... ka seems to be the big problem because it gives no warning then shoots to almost full, and im 99.99% sure that they are using instant on...

    any help

    The x50 will display self-cal anytime it is self-calibrating itself... and service required is shown when it needs service. If it hasn't shown either of these since (he did this) his unit is probably fine. The Belscorts check themselves over when they fire-up so if there was a problem it would have caught it the next time he turned the unit back on...

    It probably was instant on... more and more LEO's are using it.

    by definition of instant on you just described a textbook encounter, no warning until you are in the firing line then bam... Hope you werent speeding.

    no i caught the signal in time, its just that the SUV that i got hit by is the supervisor and he always has his radar on and never does intstant on...plus when i followed him he had it on constant the whole time...

    This may not always be true; my X50, before I sent it off for service (hope to get an update on what's going on tomorrow), was performing pretty dismally compared to my 3.826 V1. Not once have I ever seen self-cal or service required.

    We'll see what they find...
