So basically I turn 16 in two weeks and got a honda accord 06. Currently tricking it out.. here's a shot of it BEFORE radar detector install.

So basically I got an x50 BLUE and i'm wondering where to mount it?.. Currently its suchuion about a foot up on the window slightly to the right of the center so not to impair driviers vision. What do you think/recommend?

I live in a "LEGAL" state so I dont' care if folks see it :P

Mount it high .Either right below or above the rvm..

Id say mount High and Hardwired, but it all depends on the presence of Laser in your area, if its there, mount LOW

I would say right under the RVM, I got shot with laser and got the alert, so it would be good for both radar and laser. Also if you think about mounting low for laser I would say it is worthless because the second that you get shot they got your speed so I prefer to mount it high for radar.

Right under RVM has worked perfectly for me.

Nice looking car, and the wheels are nice as h3ll. If you are worried about laser more a lower mount will pick up a direct hit better than a high mount. A high mount will give you better radar reception. In my car my RD is above the RVM behind the tint strip, as long as the tint isnt mettalic there wouldnt be a problem mounting it up there.

Thanks guys.. I moved it up a little slightly to the right of the center so the cord isn't in the way of all my cool in-board gagets :P.

Hmm I ordered a LACE UP leather genuine honda steering wheel cover.. but im too lazy to do it so.. there goes that =(

As for laser vs. radar.. umm I don't know? I live in a medium sized town.. that why I kinda put it in the middle of the window.

mount it high right under the RVM !

best radar detection and more likely you'll get the laser scatter

otherwise buy a laser jammer or veil

I mount mine right above the RVM, but right below the tint. Ill take a pic of it someday

I would say mount low(thats where my X50 is because of laser) and you will still got really good reception :!:
