Default X50 Hardwire Install in BMW M3

    Hey guys, here's a little howto on hardwiring a Passport Escort 8500 X50 in a 1998 BMW M3 (E36).

This is work with practically any radar, but it's especially easy if you have a RJ11 power jack on your radar.

    Thanks!

I am looking to get my car tinted soon and I've heard they have ceramic tint that blocks more heat out and is radar wave friendly. I'll be sure and post what I find out

I'm in an E36 also (325 unfortunately), I think I may follow your guide and finally hardwire my detector as well.

    Thanks!

Nicely done. You must be a technical writer at heart!

Now...can you go to the local Mazda dealer and do one for hardwiring into the autodimming mirror controls?

Alternatively, can I have your car?
