All of you may have seen, that I constantly express that I never get long range with Ka band radar.
Today I was proved wrong, and pretty much taken back to school.
I have my X50 mounted low in my wife's car to be stealthy.
Was driving south on the DVP and a LEO was hidden behind an overpass support 2 Km in front of me.
I got a weak and gradual strong Ka detections. When I passed him it was solid Ka for another 2 km and I picked it up for the next 5 mins will climbing a tall hill.
It was a MPH and was operating at 33.830
Ka range, was superb with this unit.
It is definatly equal in performance to my STi.
Now we need the software upgrade to have wide Ka radar because photo radar (The vans).
I take it GPS is useless against photo radar that moves around.
