I just got a x50, is this a non re-man one?

One of my buddies just found this on the bus, weirdest place to have a radar. But yea ok whatever. I got it for free. Its a x50 thats slightly worn. I just have the radar, no cable or clip.

on the bottom it says FCC/ QKL8500 and a bar code with 02006453 1304.


At this point i don't know weither or not i should use it or sell it and buy a new one. Assuming that the cable is about 35$ and the clip would cost me about 15$. I would need to spend $50 out of my pocket and use that one. Or i can sell it for about 150$ on ebay or so and put in 150$ myself for a brand new unit with warranty. does it make more sense to sell it or use it.

why fix it if it aint broken?????

the cord will vary in price but most places will have it for 30 bucks, but some places only have it in the Red display color scheme........... Visor clip will only cost you about 5 bucks unless you get the full $20 kit (Carrying case, Suction cups, Windshield bracket, and Visor clip)

I would keep it. Its $300 for a new one. You can get it up an running for only $40

well its not broken. but nor do i know it works at this point. yea i see a x50 for 50$ here but what makes me a little sad is that it was a 04 model. i'm not too up to date with the software but 2004 and its nearing 2007 there has to be a diffrent version out.

well you can make the wire very easy like a direct wire one..for like almost no $$ or buy one for like 10$ on ebay... the clip i think are like 10$ so yeah for maybe 25-30$ use it.. generally the fcc id ending in 8500 from what escort told me was the rev 5. ive read they actually have less problems than rev 6.1 but none with mine yet..id def use it... orrr.... sell it on ebay get prob near 225-250 for it once youve bought the stuff for it .. so profit like 200$ then buy a brand new one...

well that was my excate theory sell it for $200 maybe and spend the 100$ for a new with warranty. But i just saw 1 late night with the unit itself sell for $125. Which made me sad, Now i'm thinking i'm just going to keep this but the stuff and see what REV is it. if its not rev 5 i'll just sell it for w/e and get a new one, its still a discount reguardless.
