    Default POP mode falses

I got two POP mode alerts today... didn't see a cop. I mean MAYBE there wes one but I doubt it...

    Any tips?

If POP is not used in your area then it was probably from other detectors like Cobra, Radio Shack, or another Bel. POP on my RD is mostly a game to me as I then try to find which car has the offending RD. The only reason I leave it on is sometimes POP is a real short blast of Ka band that I would hate to miss.

One time I got a Ka flash so I slowed down, the other time it just went "POP" and that was it, so I ignored it.

Be careful ignoring any warning from a RD especially on the open road. I almost ignored a POP while hauling @$$ on the interstate. I slowed way down and got out of the left lane and let people pass me only to see a cruiser come barreling out of the median to get someone who was previously speeding right behind me.

How does the POP alerts come up on the V1? Does it just come up as whatever band it is? (Ka or K?) Or does it flash POP or something on the bogey counter?

Detected as standard K or Ka.

Yea, that is a real bummer. So it looks just like an instant on. I would not argue w/the cop if it was instant on, but if there was some way the v1 would show that I was POP'ed and not hit with instant on, I would argue the hell out of it

    Don't argue too hard.

Okay, having POP on, would that help detect photo radar?

Do we know yet, for sure, if the X50/RX65 "pop mode" detects only on a specific KA frequency, or does it scan the entire K/KA frequencies quicker?
