Just Purchased 8500 X50 Red

Wondering where the best place to mount would be in my 93 Bmw 325is. i really want to hardwire it into my car, high, maybe getting the visor clip (please let me know your thoughts on the clip vs windshield mount) but get a spare smartplug just incase i need to move it between cars. i mounted a Bel e795 right in the middle of my windsheild and it worked perfectly. Pros and Cons on wear to mount? Thanks!

that looks pretty good, i noticed that you have the visor clip and the windshield mount, any specific reason?

I have the visor clip and it will not allow the RD to level out properly. Notice his visor is adjusted to level out the RD. I've had bad experiences with saggy headliners and try not to have anything in constant contact with the headliner.

The windshield mount is a bit more convenient as it puts the detector a bit more forward for a better view of the "world", however it may also be more visible.

im thinking that i just want to get the windshield mount and put it right in the center a little below the RVM with clear view of the front and rear.

mounting it right there makes it very visible to other drivers who will rely on you on the hwy with your detector and tailing you, waiting for you to get a ticket.

I mount my detector high above the rear view mirror or next to it
