What is the best feeling when you are using your Escort X50?

Scenario #1

While driving north on GSP in NJ everyday for work with my X50 Blue mounted just below my RVM. I approach a common location for state troopers to use Lidar or X-Band, and I get an alert .5 miles out. What do you know, he is using X-band constant on while trying to stay as concealed as possible behind trees. My X50 can hear him breathing well in advance of any type of camoflauge he paints on his car. Then as I proceed in the left lane to let him see that im doing the speed limit, while I flash my hazard lights to the guys behind me.

Scenario #2

Once again going north on GSP in NJ, after crossing in to NY. I spot the telltale sign that a NY State trooper is lurking when I get a Ka band alert almost .75 miles before he is within viewing distance. Why you ask? because NY state troopers love flying down 87 with constant on Ka band on both front and rear radar. It's sad because, once again he is spraying this signal all over the road, and regardless of my speed, the X50 can pick him up well before he is within viewing distance.

Anyone have any similiar experiences? :wink:

You have to be really careful with the NJ State Police. They are using LIDAR more and more.

I feel LIDAR is going to overtake traditional radar at some point. We are going to need real laser defense like the BLINDER X-TREME. Just detecting laser won't be good enough, too late, we will need to defeat it.

Luckily most of my travel is off highway and very suburban and city driving. Most locals, if any, don't have laser so I am pretty safe for now. For now.

I have countless stories of being saved by my detector. I wouldn't leave home without it.

The best feeling I get is knowing my X50 picked up k band at almost 4 miles away and ka band at over 1.5 miles away.

Best feeling is when I'm on the scoot and someone is tailgating me, often soccer moms.

If I get a strong radar hit, I'll slow down and wave her around me which they usually always do and then they floor it. Sometimes they even cross over a double-yellow to do it.

I kind'a get amused when I see the Leo pull and tag them suckers. :twisted:

happy, you won't get 1.5 miles on Ka and 4 miles with K band when you test it there at GOL site. You have to go to proundNMAmember's location to have the same results.

True, they love using Stalker while they're moving, but from what I've seen in my part of NY is that for stationary speedtraps the NYS LEO's are relying more on LASER than anything.

today i was in the fast lane, everyone seem to have the need for speed. Like he said above. Soccer mom in white mini van behind me. ka band screamed and a few others must have also gotten the alert. the soccer mom proceeded to pass me and was pretty damn good looking so i gave her a little flash, she slowed down a hell of a lot. as we passed the cop he eyed her up, maybe still over a bit, but did nothing. what a save by me.
