Many of you probably know that Valentine bite me one to many times and I really lost a lot of faith.
I coughed up the cash and finally got a 9500i in today.
First thing is first...
The mounting bracket is a joke compared to the V1. I'm a perfectionist, and it took me about 8 minutes to finally get it perfect.
If mounted above my rear view mirror it will knock out my sirius radio. I said it in an earlier thread, if it comes down to it sirius will always win 125% of the time.
Several areas I locked out today, when ever I would travel back to that area I would not get alerted, but the gsp icon would not spin... I found out if I was in the lane where I marked it, it would spin. But if I was coming from the opposite direction it would not. This is more of a bug than, a con.
I've been running in expert mode, in auto mode and this thing is scary quiet. I also like how it shows multiple bogeys and the strength for each one.
On a typical scenario. When driving with the V1 past a notorious area, I would get 8 bogeys with it freaking out. First pass by with the 9500i, I get a weak k band alert with my speed which was very cool, so I locked it out. drove past that area 3 other times today and all I get is the spinning gps signal.
I enjoy seeing my speed when ever it picks up a bogey. Its dead on accurate, and the gps acquisition time is incredible.
I like the ease of programming and the ability to customize to my liking.
I drove 40 miles today trying to find speed traps but when I thought I had found the jack pot to test out Ka, but they officers had gotten a DUI suspect so no joy.
I'll continue to drive and drive and hope I can get some real world results.
