the best place / way to purchase 8500 X50 (blue)

plan to buy a new 8500 X50 (blue) and wonder where / what could be the best place / way to get it. pls, advise me - let also me know if there is any alternative product I should think about beside 8500 X50. -

I found some places online (like electronicsplus) and they offer the blue one around $280... wonder if they are authorized re-sellers

more than likely... NO........ and even then theyve been known to sell refurb units as new, IMO pay the extra, get your warranty and be happy

Against my better judgement ,I just paid 220.00 USD for a escort 8500 x50 blue, ver. 6.1 , came in a unopened box with plastic still on it off E-BAY. Said the hell with it at that price and so far i don't regret it ... not sure if i can send in the warranty slip though , but i won't anyways , i have a couple old beltronics here that are 10 - 18 years old and still work fine .
