Default X50 Laser false EZPass in NH/Maine

I live in massachusetts where I have a FastLane. I also have a X50 (refer to sig)

I never get laser falses through the FastLane in MA, and I have never gotten a laser false in the EZPass's in NY (upstate, and NYC).

However, I always get laser falses when going through the EZpass's in NH and maine. does this happen to anyone else?

Anyone have a story with laser alerts, the X50, and automatic tollbooths?

The booths in NH set off my detectors too (X50 and V1).

I figure it's some sort of sensing equipment, perhaps to sense trailers or the like. I think the beam is shot from the ceiling downward, since a visor-mounted X50 doesn't alert, though a windshield mounted one does. My visor-mounted V1 will always light the front arrow, and if I have my sunroof open, the rear arrow lights as well, further proof that the signal is coming from the ceiling.
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

So if the V1 alerts, then you think it's really laser at 904nm (or 820 - 950)? At first I thought it was the X50's circuitry problem that people were talking about a little back (the issue with the X50 giving laser falses when at airports).

I thought it was strange that the X50 doesn't alert when going through EZpass in NY.

Same here with the V1 and 9500i.

I, too, have picked up a laser alert with my unit at some NH and even one Maine toll booth. It was the second laser alert I've ever had.

I've never gotten a real LASER alert. The only times I've heard that are:

    -these tollbooths
    -bright sunlight reflections
    -construction zones with welders
    -couple at the airport

^ I've gotten lucky once - actually caught the scatter from at least a quarter-mile down-road.

I've gotten true "hey, you're toast" hits twice, too. Jammer, plus the fact that I was safely under the PSL, were my "saves."

Might be a beam they use to focus the cameras?
