Not much. my mazda had that same tint along the top, and I drove with it low, mid and high, and I left it high in the end because I noticed no real difference. I would try it out and find what works best for you. My x50 was a great detector.

btw, you might want to keep in mind that with it hardwired high, most cops will never see it. No cop has seen mine, and I've been cuffed and stuffed, and had my car searched.

Some say yes and some say no. If it hardly has an effect, I'd say it's not a big deal.

Then again...people tell me not to get metallic tint on my windows and to make sure it's seamless (I don't know what seamless does heh).

thats not bad either...so the consensus is that the little blue strip/tint at the top of the windshield has no affect?
