X50 updates

I have had my X50 for about a year now and was in one of my local electronics store listening to a couple of sales guys talking about radar detectors. They were saying that you can update the x50 over the internet, is that possible?

No. Only way to update is to buy new, and there is virtually no performance difference between revisions.

They are wrong. You can't update the X50 over the internet. If the firmware needs to be updated it has to be sent to Escort.

None of the radar detectors currently out can be updated over the internet.

There is an enormous difference in the rev. #s..at least on K band. Ka is nearly identical, but the rev 6.1 is incredibly weak on K. Rev 5 all the way. Every thread on this board so far has agreed to that.
